Clear Cardstock

Hi, first time poster on this board. NIce to know it exists! I am trying to find clear cardstock paper for my invitations and programs. The clear cardstock is perfect for our space/sci fi themed wedding but it seems hard to find. Any suggestions?

if its clear, its not cardstock. why not use sheer vellum over cardstock?

Ditto pp - you're looking for Vellum, not cardstock

You can find it at any craft store or on several paper/craft websites.

When printing on vellum, be sure to allow for ample drying time or you'll get smudging.

If you want it to be actually clear, why don't you just use transparency sheets?

I agree about transparency sheets. Just make sure you use an ink designed for them, or else it will wipe off very easily.

However, I'd lean towards maybe black cardstock with silver printing, or vice versa. It might be hard to read something on a clear invitation.

You could do black cardstock with silver printing on vellum or acetate?

Your wedding theme sounds like fun!

You could your your black cardsock in the shape of a flying saucer too!

I think you're looking for cardstock weight.  Check at a paper and graphics store.  I just checked and there are two Xpedx stores in Louisville, KY and they carry several weights of vellum - inkjet or laser.

I just did map cards and they looked amazing.

Also, check professional arts supply stores (not Michael's or JoAnn).  Hope this helps!

Actually there is clear cardstock. Vellum is actually not clear but it's transparent which is not what I wanted. I found clear cardstock on Flourishes.org but I was hoping to get it locally without having to order it. I'll check some professional arts supply stores and different paper stores.
