for a july wedding with a rsvp date of june 3rd next weekend... figure with the july 4th weekend it will give guest a heads up... what do you think?

(plus i want this box out of my closet.. haha ;)  )

    Invites go out 6-8 weeks ahead of the wedding, so no earlier than the beginning of May.  If you feel like you need extra for the holiday, send them at 8 weeks.

    Sending them now is a bad idea.  People will lose/forget to RSVP if they have the invite for 2 months before the RSVP date.

    No, they should go out the first week of May. It's 6-8 weeks before the wedding, though people always seem to come up with reasons they need to send them earlier than that.

    Did you send STDs? Even if you didn't, 8 weeks is enough time to request vacation from work and book a hotel room, if need be.
