Does anyone know how to edit a jpeg file to make a personalized monogram?  Or, does anyone know of a good site where I can create my own monogram?

A jpg is just an image, so you can't easily just swap the letters out.  If you know what you want it to look like, you can use almost anything that will let you create text boxes.  Word is the most basic and least functional, all the way up to Photoshop/Illustrator.  If you don't have those but want more functionality than Word, try Publisher. 

If you want to buy one, look on Etsy.  They're very cheap - $5 or less most of the time.
