Wedding Invitations & Paper

Making own Invites

I want to make my own invitation. Is it more cost effective to buy all the material for the invitations than just buying invitations that are already made?

Re: Making own Invites

  • Thanks so much!!!
  • We made our own boarding passes for invites, curved corneres, perforations and all.  I used a template from aylee and ordered all of the paper online from www.paperandmore.com. You can get samples of everything.  It's the highest quality paper and the cheapest price I was able to find.  They also have pocket folds that are cheaper than cards and pockets, however, the website is not as user friendly but if you have any questions about sizes and what products work good together you can email and they will help you.

If you're willing to put the time in to make you're own I would highly recommend ordering your paper there and buying the rest of your supplies at Michaels or JoAnns using the coupons they email to you.
  • It's better to have your own invitations. Just be creative. Finally, with the printing, you should be extra careful. No matter how good the invitation concept was made, if they are not printed nicely, it would just ruin them.
