Shower Invitations

I have a wedding guest list ready that I'm using to do the shower guest list but I have a lot of gyus on my FI side that would not be invited to the shower should I send them an invitation anyway? Please I need ideas and recommendations. Thanks

    You should not be inviting anyone to the shower.  That's up to the shower hosts.  

    If you are having an all female shower, don't invite the men on your FI's side.  If you are having a co-ed shower, go ahead and invite some of them if they fit in the number your shower host gave you.

    ?  I'm confused?  Are you getting a list ready for your shower host?  Or are you hosting your own shower?  Is this co-ed?
