Wedding Invitations & Paper

Momental Design

Hello,

Has anyone here used Momental Design for their invitations?  I am somewhat interested but they won't send out actual samples until you've put down a $100 deposit with them, which makes it difficult to decide whether or not I really want to take the "risk" (even though their invitations look lovely on their website).  I'd love to hear any feedback anyone has!

Thanks.

  • I'm not familiar, but that sounds sketchy to me.  Do you have a link?

  • Hi squirrly,

    http://www.momentaldesigns.com

They are a legitimate company and have been featured on several bridal magazines/websites.  They sound really great, but I just don't understand the deposit situation.  :(
  • Eh, if their stuff is all hand made I can kind of see the deposit.  $50 I'd be ok with for sure.  $100. . . that's a LOT.  Have you looked on etsy?  There are a lot of designers there that are pretty price-reasonable.

If the price overall is ok for you with this one, I'd just email back and forth, or call and talk through your concerns.  If they're truly legit, they'll work out something for you.

  • I totally get why they're asking for a large deposit.  They want to make sure you're really interested in ordering from them.

They probably got fed up sending out samples just to have people copy their work and make them themselves.
