Wedding Invitations & Paper

insert card wording

We have an all in one invite, so we are adding an insert card with other information. We are putting the meal discriptions and asking guests to indicate which choice they would like (there are 3 to choose from) on the reply card. How do I word this so it makes sense?
Also do I need to put maps to the church and the country club where the reception will be? We were just going to put addresses and hope that people can look it up. I wanted to put our emails so that if people have direction questions they can email us, but fh said no.
The hotel is offering 2 complimentary shuttles from there to the CC, whats the best way to word this, so ppl know its available, but don't have to use it if they don't want to? And is it rude to say please no blue jean on the insert card?

Thanks for the help.

Re: insert card wording

  • I think PP covered it pretty well.

I wouldn't worry about your email being on there. If they are getting an invitation to your wedding, I'm sure they would know how to contact someone to ask a question if need be; either you, yoru parents, his parents, etc.

  • Will all that information be on just one card?  The food response should go on the RSVP, so you get the information sent back to you.  Otherwise you don't need people to initial their choices as they should be keeping this insert card.

You probably don't need to fully explain all of the dinner options, but put the name of the entree:
    ___ Chicken Wellington
    ___ Prime Rib
    ___ Chicken Coq au Vin

And I would check with the shuttle service with the hotel.  Will they just have one pick up at the end of the night or a staggered pick up.  If it's just the one pick up at the end of the reception, just indicate that.

And also, for internet safety, please go back and edit the address of the Raddison. Even if that's a real town name and not address - that Raddison could still be found.

The food choices are already printed on the invite. This is just an insert with the extra info. There are 2 pickups from the hotel that drop guest off at the cc and then at the end of the night 2 pick ups from the cc to take them back to the hotel.

  • In that case, I would put the entire description down on the insert card.  I think all that you have above will work nicely.
