Proof Read & 5 Wording Questions

So here is my invite, I'm going to the printer tomorrow and I am getting conflicting responses from all helping me so I thought I would come here.

First, the Groom is Asian so he doesn't have a middle name, that's why its not listed.

1st question - the & - some say no, spell it out and put it on its own line
2nd question - should the word "at" be before the garden name or not
3rd question - inclement weather wording, someone said what does that mean exactly while I thought it was pretty self explanatory - this is going to be on the direction card and not the invite - well actually back of invite, i know i broke a rule
4th question - do I need to include phone numbers of places, everyone is driving at least an hour to this place, but they will be closed?
5th question - "to share" or "to share in"

THANKS!!!!

Re: Proof Read & 5 Wording Questions

  • thanks for the side note - i agree now that it's been pointed out!
  • 1st question - the & - some say no, spell it out and put it on its own line
Typically you have "and" spelled out. But I would decide more based on how each looks with your particular names, especially since you have a middle name and he doesn't. I'd go for aesthetics here first.

2nd question - should the word "at" be before the garden name or not
Yes, you typically do see it. Though it's not wrong to eliminate it.

3rd question - inclement weather wording, someone said what does that mean exactly while I thought it was pretty self explanatory - this is going to be on the direction card and not the invite - well actually back of invite, i know i broke a rule

    Looks perfectly clear to me

4th question - do I need to include phone numbers of places, everyone is driving at least an hour to this place, but they will be closed?

    No

5th question - "to share" or "to share in"

    "share in"

I do agree with squirrly about elimating joyfully since you refer to happiness right after that.

For the record, the time would typically be written: half after three o'clock
