STD Addressing Question

I looked at the FAQ and couldn't find an answer to this question.

For the Save the Date cards, should I address them:

1. Mr. and Mrs. John Smith
or
2. John and Jane Smith

I know they're not supposed to be formal, but I wasn't sure on the correct way to do them. Thanks!

Re: STD Addressing Question

  • I did Jane and John Smith for mine.  They were postcards so I felt it was OK to not be as formal.

  • As a side note, on wedding invites and STDs I personally love to use the ampersand (&) instead of the word "and" - if you're printing the addresses, many fonts have beautiful ampersands - although I can understand it would be a little harder to hand write a bunch of them!

*p.s. I can do computer printed envelope addressing if you sit down and realize it's going to take forever to address all of your invites/stds and it looks awesome! - that's open to anyone, too, not just the OP!
