Thank You Notes in the rooms!

So we are doing little gift bags in each of the hotel rooms filled with "our favorite things" like our favorite snacks, favorite bottled drinks, etc and then of course like bottled water, etc. I've designed a thank you but cant come up with wording for the inside. Something thanking them for being a part of our special day and how much it means to us, and hoping they enjoy "our favorite things"

Any suggestions on wording of this, I'm Horrible when it comes to this stuff!!!

Thanks in Advance!!

Re: Thank You Notes in the rooms!

  • We're doing something similar. My advice would be to keep it short and simple:

"Thank you so much for coming all the way to (town) for our wedding! We're so excited to celebrate with you and we appreciate you being here. These are some of our favorite treats - please enjoy!
    Love, Bride and Groom"
  • I really like this idea! I might look into this for my wedding : D
  • We got gift bags on clearance at target for .28
    We are putting:
     peanut m&ms (my fav)
Snickers or beef Jerkey (his fav)
2 cans of sprite (my fav)
2 cans of mt dew (his fav)
    gummi worms(our fav)
    and some bottled water
May add in some mini bottles of our fav wine, but we like cheap wine and i don't want our bags to look cheap lol

  • Ok so I can't help you with wording - but if you havent already asked the hotel - some of them charge to hand out the bags!  The one we are going to use charges $2 per bag.

I ended up getting bags that were just delivered from theknot on super sale.  They said thank you and our names on the bags.  Pumpkin colored with white writing - very nice!

  • Yup our hotel charges $1  a bag. I've worked in hotels for 10+ years delivered my fair share of these gift bags to many rooms and never did i or the hotel collect a penny!! I'm thinking about asking if they can be handed out at check out, were doing all the bags exactly the same(except for the color of the bag) so it doesn't matter who gets what, so if they are checking inwith our wedding block, cant they handed a bag with there room key? i dont mind paying the $1 but i just think its stupid! lol
