plates per guest?

Yes, I definitely asked this before but apparently I didn't save it *hangs head in shame*. I'm buying the plastic plates that look like real plates. I'm having a buffet. There will be cookies (obviously). So how many dinner plates per guest? How many bowls (for salads)? Small plates? Also, I need to buy cups for the bar... how in the world do I determine how many cups to buy? And what size cups? We're havng beer, pop, juice, and probably the same liquors that N had. TIA and I promise I'll save it this time!

I am completely guessing, but I'd overbuy and return what isn't needed - your bartenders should be able to help you guess, but I'd say 4 or 5 cups per guest? I think htey could keep track of the open/unopened bags of glasses for you.For plates and salad bowls, I'd say 120% of your guest list - so 100 guests, 120 plates (I think that's how most caterers plan buffet meals out).

I would have given you the exact answer that Jen did.

Yep! What they said! And go to Sam's Club if you have to buy them yourself! (If you don't have a membership, I can go for you)

We bought waaaay too many cups from Sam's Club, but they are cheap.  I agree with the above comments about plates.
