How far in advance is everyone sending out their save the dates and invitations?

    I sent my STDs out in October, and my wedding is in July. We have a lot of OOT guests coming...

    I'm sending my invites at about the three month mark, they will have six weeks to respond and I'll have six weeks notice before the wedding.

    Our RSVPs are due back a week and a half before the caterer needs a final head count.  For that one, it's best to push the date back as far as you possibly can, while still leaving time to track down errant responses.

    Our STDs went out at about seven months out.  Invitations are going out at eight weeks.
    This is a neglected planning bio.
    This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

    Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
