Another Giveaway

Just wanted to let you all know I have another giveaway on my blog.  Good luck! :)

I see blog giveaways all the time and was just curious as to how they work. Since you've done giveaways in the past, do you put together the kit (the current giveaway for example) out of your own pocket? Or are you giving away promotional items that a company gave you?I'm just wondering because I know it can help drive traffic to a blog and wondered if I should eventually do one. Also, do you make money off of your blog via the ads?I just wondered; I'm curious since your blog seems to get a lot of traffic :)

I signed up on MyBlogSpark.com for the giveaways.  They provide the package - one to me and one (or more) to give to winners.  They actually send the packages to the winners.Basically it's a way for companies to promote their products and for me to give a review.  If I get something I don't like, instead of a negative review, I just don't post it. (This did happen once, and I know it was a granola bar of some sort, but can't remember the exact kind). With the FoodBuzz ads, I think it's something like $3 for 1000 hits on my blog (I think I've made maybe $10 in the time I've been on there).  But I had to sign up to become a featured publisher.  I know Google does something called AdSense, but I believe people have to actually click the ad for it to generate revenue.

Oh yay!  By the way, I'm drinking out of my water bottle from the giveaway that I won and I love it!

KR - I love that water bottle. I take it to work out - it keeps the water so cold! :)

Whoops - you work out with yours.  ;)  I would have to go to the gym more than once a week for yoga to do that, haha!

:)  I have two other bigger ones (32 ou) that I take to work with me.  I put one in the freezer overnight - so it's good to go in the afternoon.  The other I just put some ice in it.  Works well. But I carry this big bag back and forth every day with my 2 water bottles and my lunch. :p

Thanks for the info. I'm clueless when it comes to blogging. But I will be entering your giveaway in just a few minutes! :)
