We went last night.  I'm a little skeptical of the weight room, and I hate that it's basically targeted at men, but otherwise, I'm excited about it.  The GM was really nice.  It's going to take awhile to get used to all the rules there though, there are a million of them!  The whole cardio sign-up sheets confuses me a bit too, but I'm sure we'll get used to all of it.  All the members seem to be very happy there.

I use a lot of the free weights a lot upstairs. The cardio sign up sheet can be a pain but it's really not that big of deal. Just sign up and get off at the time your suppsed to and no one will bother you. I really like it there. You'll def. have to set something up with one of the trainers. I love working with them. I train with one everyweek and she mixes stuff up for me every two months or so. So you want to go to Zumba on Tuesday nights then?

The weights upstairs are mostly too light for what I use for my lifting workouts.  Ohhh Zumba scares me but I'll try it!  They had yoga in the dark last night and I was gazing in longingly wanting to join the class :)

I have wanted to try that Yoga class but haven't gotten to it yet. I tried to get to the one on Thurs night but the night I showed up something happened to the instructor and it was canceled. The downstairs weight room is geared more towards the boys. I've been down there once though and it wasn't so bad. Can't wait for you to join. It will give me courage to try that low light yoga class with a buddy.

Yes, we can definitely try the classes!  They seem to have so many evening classes available that aren't RIGHT after work.  I do love that.  I'd love to take advantage of the classes that they offer.  Do you have to sign up for classes in advance there?

No you just show up for the classes. That's what I liked about them. And they don't get really packed IMO.

Ugh - I miss that gym so much! I belonged to the same gym as Brianne for 2 years until I moved this summer. Boo.I agree that the cardio sign-ups are strange at first, but its nice when its crowded. You can sign in right when you get there, then go do other things if there is a wait without worrying about losing your turn. Its only annoying when people ignore the sign-ups and stay beyond their time limit. I may have kicked a few people off of "my" machine ;)I lift quite a bit and was always able to use the weights upstairs. I used the downstairs weight room with DH a few times, but I hated how guy oriented it was, too. And its small down there!Oh and I LOVE their Zumba class. It was my fav :)
