Save the Date Wording

I'm working on my save the date right now and have now realized I don't know what to do!  I'm getting married in a church which will likely be in a different town from the reception location.  Which location should I put on the save the date?  Would it be okay to just put the state instead?  Thanks for your help!

Re: Save the Date Wording

  • Ditto PP. I think just the state is fine. Or you could put both cities with a slash in between a la: "Milwaukee/Grafton, WI." The only reason I'd put the cities is that, as a guest, I'd like to know if I'll need a hotel room or not. Just because the wedding's in the same state as me, it might not be close enough to travel back the same night, KWIM?

  • We just put a state on ours.
