I just saw my save-the-dates and the draft of my invitations, and I'm completely over the moon! So exciting! I had the hardest time finding something that was very *different.* I wanted classy, modern, bold, and unique (we're having an Indian ceremony and a Christian ceremony, plus a rooftop dinner and loungey reception so the invitations needed to be as different as the wedding will be), and nothing seemed to fit the bill. Finally I found someone ridiculously talented who totally thought outside the box, and man did she deliver! I feel like her PR agency right now- haha. I'll post pictures as soon as I can get them, but I felt like I had to share. . . if anyone is looking for truly unique invitations, I HIGHLY recommend Ola at Ijorere (
www.ijorere.com). I can't even describe how cool these invitations are (sorry, I know I'm babbling here, but I'm just giddy!). The save-the-dates are elegant and modern, and she actually found yellow leatherette envelopes to put them in (with fuschia laser printing)- unreal! The invitations I can't even begin to describe. . . 4 layers with each page slightly wider that the one before it and an embossed mehndi/henna design going across all 4 pages. The pages are in orange, yellow, and fuschia with matching rhinestones and are being delivered inside a wooden box that's engraved with our names and the wedding date. I want to start planning an anniversary party so I have an excuse to let Ola make something else! Woo-hoo!
