Wedding Invitations & Paper

Wedding invitation wording: my parents are divorced / mom kept last name!!

Weird situation for invitation wording.

Most brides can say: "Mr + Mrs Z, request honor of" ...except my parents are divorced.  My Dad is paying the entire bill.  I want to give my Dad the credit he deserves with the invite.  My mother and FI parents are NOT CONTRIBUTING.  I (painfully) planned on mentioning the FI's parents with "Son of Mr/Mrs".  In the end, it feels weird with everyone else on the invite except my mom.  How can I add her when she kept her last name.  Would it be Mr Z and Ms. Z request?  What the heck am I supposed to do with this???

  • Thank you!  Much appreciated clarity.  It's tough with divorced parents, who is paying, etc.  I was getting frustrated, and thought maybe I should just list my Dad and no one else.  Sheesh, this was one of those unexpected hassles no one thinks about when planning.
  • Oops.  Ceremony and reception are at a hotel.
