we are having a church wedding with a small reception in the family life center. we are also having a after party at my aunt's house. The after party is going to have dinner and drinking, because we can't drink at church. And we want a party! How do i put this on the invites?

If the cake and punch type reception is at the same place, just next door or something to the church, you could have the ceremony info and "reception to follow" on the invite and then have a "reception card" insert that says something like, "join us for diner and dancing at 6pm, Address." 

"Reception to follow" generally indicates a reception immediately following the ceremony, in the same location so you could get away with that, plus word of mouth/wedding website for the church aspect of it, I think.
