Directions to Plum?

I need to be at Plum High School at 7:30 tonight.  Does anyone know the best way for me to get there from Robinson?  Google maps is taking me the parkway east to the Penn Hills exit and north from there.  Would it be better to take 28 to Oakmont and cut across?  I would like to avoid any scary sections of town if possible.

Either way would work. I think if you took 28 to Harmer and went straight up Hulton Road it takes you practically to the high school, or pretty close to it. Getting off in PH would mean you'd have to go through all of PH to get to Plum. Either way you're not going through any bad parts of town (it's the main business part of PH and into the 'rual' area of PH and Plum.

If it were me, I'd take 28 to Oakmont.  The Parkway East would dump you off in Monroeville and then it's back roads/rural roads the rest of the way to the HS.  I sometimes get confused in the dark out that way and I'm on that road atleast twice a week.

Yay for Penn Hills confusing people! FI got lost there once and vowed to never drive through again and then started dating me...yeah now he's out there all the time!

Thanks.  I'll probably check the traffic before we leave.  I'm glad I won't be in any bad areas either way.

I would take 28, but be prepared to sit in traffic.

Hey Candice - You'll be relatively close to where I live if you're at Plum HS. I'd take 28 to Oakmont, go up the hill after you cross the bridge. I can't remember where you turn for sure, but it's much easier than all the back roads you'd be on coming from the Parkway. I'm like Jenn - I get confused at night over that way with all the turns and hills and stuff.Good Luck!

Thanks Angela and Emily!  I talked to my dad (who works up there somewhere) and he said to take 28 also.  Now I just have to get DH out of the house in time...
