Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame

So DH and I have never been there and since he's off tomorrow and feeling better, I'm thinking about springing a day trip on him to go see it.  Has anyone ever been?  Is it like a 1-2 hour look around type place or one you can get lost in for hours?  Not sure if I should plan something else for us to do or if the HoF will take up a lot of time. Any opinions would be awesome.  As always, TIA! :)

I think you can easily spend a whole day there.  I still wasn't very impressed with it, it was more geared toward the MTV generation, and when I went it was more Britney Spears/NSYNC, pop stars than what I thought of when I imagined a HOF if that makes any sense.  They won't let you take a camera in the main exhibits, so be prepared to leave yours in the car or at their desk (they'll hold it for you).

I was there three years ago.How much time you spend there depends on how much you like to stop and read every display.  They usually have a limited time display - ours was Pink Floyd's "The Wall."They have movies you can watch. There are tons of displays with lyrics written on napkins, etc., etc.A lot of displays with stage costumes.  A lot of photos. We were there for a couple of hours. We went to eat at the Blues Brother Cafe in downtown Cleveland afterwards.

I've been there twice - once as a day trip with friends and once with DH a few years ago.  I agree that the time you will be there will depend entirely on the exhibits that you are interested in.  I think once we were there for like 4+ hours and once for like 2.5ish.   Do you know what the traveling exhibit is?  I saw the Beatles once and Bob Dylan once.
