Hi, yes my name is Anita.  I haven't posted anything on here, just look at this site for references. We are leaning toward Bethel Bakery, but then I heard their baker left, so their cakes are not as good. let me know of any other bakeries in the are.  Our wedding is in the South Hills of Pgh.

We are leaning toward Bethel Bakery, but then I heard their baker left, so their cakes are not as good.Bakeries like Bethel have lots of bakers.  They are a family business, so I'm sure the quality will be the same if they have a baker leave or not.  I'm a huge Bethel Bakery fan, but I don't like their wedding cake as much as their regular cake - it has a different taste and is expensive, IMO. We went with Signature Desserts and their dessert buffet - delicious!

An acquaintance of mine with the same nickname is engaged and her wedding is next year, just wondering!I went with Cakes by Tammy as did a few other girls here. The prices are very low and it was absolutely perfect. The information for her is in my planning bio.HTH!

My cake was from Lincoln Bakery, it was part of my package at my reception place so I don't know cost or anything like that, but I do know it was delicious

I also used Cakes by Tammy. She is wonderful to work with and made our cake exactly how we wanted. She is very affordable and the cake was delicious!

I had their cake at my wedding (it was the baker that my hall used in the wedding package).  I wasn't a huge fan of the cake...that being said, I think it comes down more to personal preference, b/c not everyone likes the same type of frosting.  I would suggest buying a small cake from them and see if you like it.  You might love it, you might hate it, it was included with my package so I can't complain too much.

I'm a big Signature Desserts fan.  Their dessert buffet was way more affordable than Bethel and I think that their desserts are far superior to Bethel as well.

My sister raves about how good Party Cake is.  They are in the South Hills I think.  I don't remember, but I think she used them for her wedding cake - and I do remember the cake being delish!

Bethel Bakery was my #1 choice, until I received the price quote. So, we tried Patti's Pastries in Center Township (Beaver County). Not only were her samples delicious, but her quote was also almost $500 less than Bethel! My fiance also commented that her cake was as good as, if not better than, Bethel.
