Wedding Invitations & Paper

Proper invitation addressing

We are having a semi-casual wedding and I am currently in the process of typing the address labels for the invites and we have quite a few single ladies on the guest list. What is the most P.C. way of addressing the envelopes, "Miss" or "Ms."... Does it matter how I do it, I mean I don't care how people address me on their envelopes but I don't want to offend anyone else.

Thoughts???

Re: Proper invitation addressing

  • Anyone over 18 should be Ms. and PLEASE don't use labels on your wedding invitations!  You can just run your envelopes through your home printer using a nice font.
  • You mean that you are going to print the addresses onto the enveloes, or you are going to handwrite the addresses onto the envelopes, or your mom is going to handwrite the addresses onto the envelopes because her name is on the top line of your invitations as the person who is requesting the honour of the guests' presence so the invitation is coming from HER.

You don't mean that you are doing labels on a formal invitation's envelope.

And it's Ms. for those over 18.
