Complicated Wedding Invitation Wording - Help needed

Good Morning All,

I have done several google searches and still can't find the answer that I need so I am hoping that someone here may be able to help me out.

I'm getting ready to purchase invitations and I'm not sure how they should be worded. I want to list both my parents & the grooms parents on the invitation. My parents are divorced and my dad is remarried, while my fiance's parents are divorced and they are both remarried. We are also having a full Catholic Wedding Mass.

My question is what is the proper way to word the invites?

Is something like this appropriate?

Brides mom's &
Mr. & Mrs. Brides Dad
Request the honor of your presence
at the Nuptial mass
Of which their daughter
BRIDES NAME
will be united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony
to GROOMS NAME
Son of
Mr. & Mrs. Grooms Mom & Step-Dad &
Mr. & Mrs. Grooms Dad & Step-Mom

Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Complicated Wedding Invitation Wording - Help needed

  • I have divorced and re-married parents as well.  I'm keeping it simple with "togehter iwth their parents".
  • Oh, and note:  since "honour of your presence" is used because the wedding is in a Church, the RSVP should say "the favour of a reply is requested by April 1, 2010"

  • Oh, darn, I just re-read the OP and I missed that his parents are divorced and remarried.  Please use this version instead:

Mrs. BrideMom Last (or Ms. BrideMom Last, depending on what she uses)
    and
    Mr. BrideDad Last
request the honour of your presence
at the Nuptuial Mass uniting their daughter
    BrideFirst Middle Last
    and
    GroomFirst Middle Last
    son of Mrs. GroomMom NewMarriedLast
    and
    Mr. GroomDad Last
    in the Sacrament of Marriage.

    Saturday, the eighth of May
    two thousand ten
at half after four o'clock in the afternoon.

    Address
