How to accessorize curly hair

I'm an older bride (mid 40s) and want to wear my shoulder length very curly hair down. Any suggestions on how to dress it up for the big day. Everywhere I look it shows up-dos but I really don't want to put it up but rather have our photos look like us. Any ideas or suggestions?

There are really pretty decorations that are just on the end of bobby pins. Depending on the size of your curls, you could maybe strategically "scatter" some of these. I know my curls will hold in small bobby pins attached near the upper part of my head without it looking like I pinned my hair up.
 
You could also always do a partial updo --- which would then be partially down.
