Flowers

So I have been going back and forth on flowers and unsure what I want.  Well my gf told me that her sister just had 3 hydrangeas tie together.  See picture below.  So I was planning on getting my center piece bulk flowers from Sams club which has way more hydrangeas than we need.  Do you think I could ask the florist if they could use my extra flowers...and if they don't come in right then we will just have a back up plan of what they have in stock?

Re: Flowers

  • is your florist doing your centrepieces? Or do you mean contact a florist just to do your bouquets with your flowers from Sam's?

  • No I was going to do the centerpieces, but they come 25 in a pack and we only need 10.  The florist will also be doing my bouquet, boutineers and corsages, I would just provide the flowers for the bridesmaids bouquets.

  • oh! Got ya. Well it wouldnt hurt to ask. But I am not sure if they would be willing to do that since it isnt their own flowers? Really I have no idea, it could be something they do regularly.
You could do the bouquets yourself too as an option maybe. There are instructions on the internet on how to put them together.

  • I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask, but if I was a florist I'd probably side-eye a customer bringing in flowers from Sam's Club for me to work into bouquets.  They'd probably charge you less if you brought in the flowers, but they would have to charge you something for the time it would take for them to make the bouquets - if they'd do it at all.  Truth be told, I'd be too uncomfortable asking because I think it's a little ....crass.
