Too short for a bridesmaid dress? PIP

I just saw this dress today at The Limited and it is the exact right color and ON SALE!



Is it too short for an informal, outdoor ceremony? I tried it on and it hits right above my knee, which I think is fine, but maybe a little too "cocktaily."
Has anyone else already bought their bridesmaid dresses this far in advance?

I don't think it is too short if its right above your knee. I haven't picked out my BM dresses for sure yet.. I'll probably ask my girls to order them sometime before 2012.

That's about the same length as the one I want, so I say no.

I don't think thats too short! it looks like the perfect length and very cute! My girls will order their dresses in the fall.

It's not too short.  I had my girsl order their dresses already.  DB had the dress I loved on sale and it expired in like a day.  So we went and snatched it up so we got it for $100 instead of $140.

I don't think it's too short, and that dress is so cute!  I'll probably have my girls order their dresses in August (because they'll all be home in the summer so it's the best time for them to do it)

for an outside casual wedding i think its great. We have gotten bridesmaids dresses this week because we found summer dresses that are cute and the right color for 12.99 each at one of the stores in the mall....at first i thought they might be tooo casual since they are basically cotton halter sundresses, but after explaining what we envision for the wedding to my bridesmaids, they all agree that its perfect...and by getting affordable dresses that they can wear for years, they are now more willing to put money into getting matching shoes and accesories so that it will complete the look and be uniform so that it still looks great in the pictures! (they are about that short too btw!) Heres a picture but the ones we got are green not white!

Thank you for the input! It's mainly my sister that was uncertain about the length, but she also has the most body-image issues. The other girls love them! I may just get one for myself if we don't end up with them for the wedding. It is too cute!
