I Survived: Pole Dancing class

Lol!

So my friend had a Bridal shower yesterday and the first couple of hours we were at a Pole Dancing studio! It was actually a blast and a VERY hard workout! I was surprised!
She's doing a cruise for her Bachelorette but I can't afford it this year...

It was a very unique idea for a 'shower' ... my MOH asked what I wanted and I of course won't repeat that but would even prefer a fun co-ed shower...for the Bachelorette: a Spa day...been going out since I was 18 so nothing 'clubby' but maybe a GNO afterwards.

What are your Bridal shower/Bachelorette ideas?

I would love to do spa day too... then a nice dinner with drinks and girl talk... not really into the club scene better yet I have not been to a night club since I was 18 lol... but I have been to plenty of bars...

We are considering going to Atlantic City (since I'm originally from S. Jersey, about 45 min away), OR maybe we'll go down to Tampa and go to the beach and Disney and stuff since my dad will be moving down there for a new job...

Gabby - I'm 10 minutes from Tampa, you'd enjoy it. If you did, definitely let me know and I can tell you the nicer places to go out...there is a 'bad area' lol

I kind of thought a pole dancing class would be fun to do with some of my girlfriends but I don't know how well I'd perform, I'm kind of clumsy! As for my bachelorette party, my sister (MOH) says she has some pretty wild ideas already in the works. She keeps mentioning Vegas which I would be all for so hopefully that whole idea pans out

where is south jersey??? i was originally from south jersey too and 45 mins from AC. i was from pemberton.

I'm not sure what Mom & MOH are planning for the shower, but I'd love to something like pole dancing or find a bar with a mechanical bull for the bachelorette! Something that makes it a little different than just any girls night out on the town. I'm sure we'd be terrible, at either of those, but I think that will make it even more fun!

MY friend did a pole dancing class for her surprise bach. party...I couldn't make it but they all had a blast!  Not to mention I've been wanting to try it  ever since!  I'm glad you had so much fun!

I grew up in Williamstown, and I went to college in Philadelphia. :)

Thanks, I'd appreciate that!  My dad got laid off from his job in Altantic City, and no casinos in that area were hiring.  He got a job at Hardrock, he goes down June 2nd to get his new casino license and fill out paperwork...he's really hesitant about the move because my younger brothers are in Jersey, but he has to go where the work is, I suppose.  If he's still there by next spring, I'll definitely hit you up for info! lol

as cheesy as it sounds, i want to have an old fashioned slumber party with my bridal party and some close friends.  my moh's parents (who are pretty much my mom and dad too) offered for us to stay in their basements and cook us food and let us watch movies, go swimming, and basically act like we were 13 again.  i really don't have any desire to go out and during that day, we were all going to go to the spa.  maybe this just sounds fun b/c i am really a 10 year old trapped in a 29 year old's body!
