DIY cake topper and luminaries (PIP)

I finished my cake topper last night.  I'm really happy with how it turned out.  I was thinking about attaching a peacock feather to the back so it peeks out from the side.  What do you think?



I also made a few luminaries.  I think they turned out pretty good, but I need a few other opinions.  Thoughts?

Very nice!!  I like the idea of the peacock feather, as long as it's not too large...you want your monogram to be the main focal point!  Great job

Both are really pretty! I actually think the cake topper looks fab as it is, and adding a feather might be distracting.

I like the cake topper as is, but I think it'd look great with a feather too as long as it wasn't too distracting.

Love! I think the peacock idea is cute...would definitly atleast try it out! As for the lanterns...I'm at a loss...I really like the ones in the pic.!!

Thanks!  I wasn't planning on adding anything to the luminaries, I just wanted to see what everyone thought...before I make 30 more! lol
