to open their gifts until after the wedding? We are having our gifts mailed to my moms house, and FI wants to wait until after the wedding to open them. Anyone else?

I wanted to....my mother and my FI, said they dont want to wait...I caved and opened the one that came in the mail before the weekend.

We're having them sent to our house. We haven't received any yet, but there is no way I can leave a box containing a present unopened for 2 months

We are....my FI and I are in a LDR so after the wedding we'll open together since everything is at my house

We are opening them before so we can send thank you cards right away but we wk t actually use the gifts until after the wedding

I haven't gotten any yet, but I would definitely not be able to wait to open them. I have no patience when it comes to that sort of thing! We won't be using the gifts until after the wedding though.

Same as PP.. We haven't yet, but if we do get some, we'll open (unwrap) them so we can get those thank you notes out right away.  We won't open open them to use them until after the wedding, though.

Agree w/ PPs. I also have no patience when it comes to waiting to open presents (FMIL sends us packages for EVERY holiday and I can never wait to open them). And we also plan to send thank yous as soon as we get presents so we don't have to wait until after the wedding.
