  • We're using vintage postcards for ours.

    White Knot
  • Something like this... a vase holding a single tulip, with the placecard either attached or tied on...

With these placecards (but different wording. I'm thinking of hand writing the names and table numbers.

  • this might be one of my few DIY projects! putting together a box w/ terrarium moss and making the wire spiral holders

@ambie my cousin had the starfish escort cards at her wedding and they were SUPER cute! just make sure the sand is dry... my card was a little soggy (but still cute)

  • I'm probably going to do something like this:

I think they'll be pretty easy to DIY :)
  • They're deep purple.. my flash makes them look funny!

  • We are using JanuaryBride's idea for escort cards, but we'll be using our city's skyline. Each square on the picture is an escort card, if that makes sense?

  • this isnt really a good pic...and not exactly what i want but ill explain the concept. im going to buy one of those fake trees...with no leaves..and decorate with paper flowers.like these in little clusters. like the pic above.

then add some butterflies as if they are flutterling around in the tree...and place a half moon table in front of the tree with the name cards in the shape of butterflies or just something a little more eloquent. My main thing is making it not look cartoonish.
  • So my escort cards will be a mini scavenger hunt. The tiny picture on their cards will translate to a larger picture on their tables. For example:

This is what will be on their escort cards along with their name(s)

And this is what will be on the table in an 8.5x11 frame

I'm thinking I will have 13-17 tables so I'll pick 13-17 pictures from our e-pics session to use. =o))

Quick question... I just realized getting everyone at the right table with the right mini picture might be easier if I hand write them... is that too casual? Maybe I'll make labels and stick them on there and put lace around it?! Hemm... ideas?
  • I have an ambitious plan to make mini books with the guests names on the spine. Each table is named after a vintage children's book, with the cover as the "sign"The cover of the mini-book/ escort book is their table. I don't really have any pictures of this, but I do have ideas for my plan B:

I'll either do the wine cork tree or make it look more like vines and use grape leaves. Either way, it's on my DIY list!
