Ok, so I'm a fraud
My FI and I got married almost a month ago now, in a courthouse wedding. Our families supported it, but really want us to have a big wedding, hence the 5/19/12 wedding planning.
Recently, we've run more numbers as time has gone on, and even with ourparents paying for the dress, photographer, and venue, we are going to be rough on crunching numbers.
When we moved in together a little over a month ago, we had to start from scratch and buy everything for our house, so we have a credit card and an RCwilley card to pay off... I made a plan, and we could have all bills plus both cars paid offt by next May, but now with the wedding that everyone wants us to have, that won't happen and we both want to buy a house soon as well.
My in-laws have a large (over 300k) check coming from a medical settlement, but they don't have a definite date yet. They offered to pay for EVERYTHING when they get the check, but I'm nervous to plan on that.
Daniel and I just don't know what to do. We're already married, we could just skip it all and go on a big honeymoon. I've been married before, so that's fine with me, but I also feel like he wants a wedding.
I have no clue what to do, and I'm hoping you ladies can give me some insight.
