Elfster Exchange!

In the DW board we sometimes do a monthly gift exchange through an online site called Elfster. You basically sign up (like you would for an EVite, etc,) and post things on your wishlist. For the exchange, we'd choose a theme (picture frames, earrings, etc.) and you'd note details in your wishlist of your preferences. A "Draw" is done and you don't know who your Elf is until your gift arrives.

I'm waiting on my photo frame to come in the mail any day now! I made one for my Elfster and she's in California.

I know we all have tight wallets, but this might be fun to start in a few months leading up to May? (And I don't have to take the lead on this, if someone else wants to please VOLUNTEER

Maybe we could start it around May of this year and do it Quarterly (every 3 months) with like a $20-25 budget?

I like the idea of having the exchange every few months with a limit. It sounds like fun!

I've done this before on other boards for the holidays. I think it would get a little pricey to do every month, with buying gifts and shipping them. It would be fun for the holidays though!

Sounds fun to me! I've never used elfster before so i'll have to check it out. I think quarterly sounds good. I might've missed this, but are the gifts always wedding related? (I think they should be)

Yeah like you'd ask your pick (anonymously) what they'd want like dates, names, etc. on the gift. I.E. the photo frames: I put the wedding date and used the colors for mine

Sounds very fun! Our board can definitely do it, but I don't want anyone to feel obligated. I know I personally, won't be able to do each of the exchanges, since I am a college student. So Kat, when you want to start it, start a post, and have people sign up that want to do it!
