What theme do we go with?

So I have a question....back when we were planning a fall wedding..theme was no problem...butnow that its become a spring wedding..Im stumped. My boquet going to have Stargazer lilies and probably some Lilly of the Valley and possible roses...but as for the rest of the wedding theme...where do I go from here?   I was planning on the Oasis from DB for the girls...and we were doing Cognac for the guys..but now we doing Oasis for the guys and Im torn on the Sangria or Watermelon..or any other ideas? Just need some advice on what to do color etc wise..thanks

You can really do whatever color combo you would like, regardless of the season.

Are you looking for actual theme suggestions or color suggestions?

More theme suggestions...like I dont want to go too floral...but thats what spring is to me..is flowers everywhere..lol

Your "theme" doesn't have to be season realated. What do you and the FI like in common?
 
For instance, my FI and I are history buffs and I ADORE the 1920/30s luxury so we are doing a 20s/30s inpired feel --I hate the word theme for weddings...reminds of a costume party. lol --

So what are you two into together? This could give you a steping stone to start with...

Do you need theme or color help? Or both?  

For us, we picked our color which are shades of purple with a bit of orange thrown in and some whites/ivories. Once we had that down it was easy to come up with a theme to tie it all together which is a romantic garden theme. 

I'd def. start with your fav. colors and those you def. want to use and then go from there.

Hmm...we both big Disney fans, football(but he doesnt want anything football because of the stupid lockout), He is big into Civil War history while Im big into Medieval ...so we both all over the place   Im just trying to think of a good purplish color that goes with a dark teal...and peacocks come into mind then...beautiful birds though. I dunno..I guess Im just blah today and cant think straight lol.

Maybe you're trying too hard to get a solid "theme."  Maybe just think of adjectives that describe the "feel" you want on your day. Do you want it to be formal or casual, vintage or modern, rustic or urban? String these together with your color/flowers and viola, a "modern romance wedding with an urban vibe and shades of lavender" 

You can also use the experiences you and Fi have had together, such as places you've visited or a tribute to your home or college city. You can theme the tables according to the street names, beaches, etc.
