Hey ladies,

So, I haven't really been thinking about wedding stuff bc I kept tellin myself "It's over a year away, I have plenty of time!"  Yeah, well in a couple weeks it will be exactly a year and then the official countdown beings... 

I'm curious... What have you ladies accomplished so far for your MAY 2012 weddings?  I booked the location and the photographer.  But that's it.  How far behind am I? haha 

I'd appreciate your feedback!

I have a DW so I have to have a bit of a different timeline since our wedding is in Antigua:
- Photographer

- E pics schedule in a month + props made
- E pic outfits

- Travel items (luggage tags, passport holders, etc.)

So far I have done pretty much nothing. I've scheduled a viewing at our venue since for me its destination at the end of April, it was the place of our first date so we'll be booking there for sure. Will sign the contract at the end of the month as well as put down the deposit. I also bought my dress last weekend and I designed our STD Mags but we havent ordered them yet.

There has been a little confusion (my FI failed to mention to his mother that we were dating much less engaged until last week) so this week his job is to be getting a guest list together.

I don't really have that much done, so don't worry!  My list is quite short:

- picked photographer and sent in contract and deposit
- picked venue (ceremony and reception at same site), just waiting on the contract so I can send in the deposit
- FI and I chose members of the wedding party and asked them (they all agreed)
- made a list of things I want to DIY (and bought some of the materials)
- did a bunch of research for the other vendors I want to look into...

That's about it!  TK and weddings mags all have timelines that let you know what you should get done with X number of months to go...and I can tell you most of the Knotties on this board are wayyyyyy ahead of the game, lol

Thanks SO much for your feedback!  I know the centerpieces I want... I thought it was too soon to get them though.  Maybe I shoud rethink that   ...I'm finally staring to get really excited about the wedding (I'm sure the 10lbs I lost this month helped changed my mindset, haha)  I hope to be a regular here on this board.

started collecting samples of invitations and StD magnets. done online research for dresses and other design elements. asked 3/4 for my bridesmaids, and our officiant (a friend)

I normally go on the city page but thought I would have a little look on the date community and I am glad I did!! I thought I was being totally over organised but I seem to be 'normal' I am having  adestination wedding we are from the UK getting married in Vegas. I have booked:
Ceremony venue
Reception venue
Photographer
Make up artist
Sent invites which I had to make as I wanted DVDs (needed to give everyone plenty of time sue to cost)
Picked bridesmaids dresses
Paid for my dress
Brought BM shoes
Ordered my shoes (waiting for them to arrive from China which is making me super anxious)
Decided on UK hen do and sent invites as that too needs to be booked (weekend away)

I think that is it for me so far, we cant book flights or hotel till July.

I felt the same way about the wedding still being so far away.. but I cant believe its down to 13 months!! OMG! i've still got SO MUCH to do. But i'm proud of what I have so far!!
This is what I have done:
-Venue
-Photographer (for wedding and an engagement session)
-DJ
-have my colors picked out and an idea of what I want the place to look like
-went dress shopping! Think I found the one, I will be deciding on the dress in May
-have an engagement shoot booked for May 15 (just did that check today!)
-looked at a TON of invitation and STD designs. Will decide after I get e-pics
-found a design I love for the wedding cake but havent done a tasting yet.

Still have a million and one things to do!!!

I've booked: church/ reception venue, DJ, found my dress, picked out BM dresses, asked BM, FG, RB, GM.  I am interviewing a photographer tomorrow.  Have a vague idea on color scheme, centerpieces, floral arrangements.  I called three bakers for cakes.  Feeling overwhelmed with how much I still have to do!
