My turn! Wedding dress shopping Saturday!

I'm so excited and so nervous! I have two appointments. One at Alyssas Bridal and the other at Davids bridal. I'm excited about going to Alyssas because they have the nice designer dresses. And i've got my eye on a Maggie Soterro that I am so in love with. So i'm hoping to find it or something just like it.

It's a girls day. Me, my mom, two younger sisters and two of my best friends. Its just a shopping day and trying on dresses to see what I like. Because in May my dad and stepmom are flying down to go look at dresses with me again and thats probably when I will decide for sure what I want. So any advice? And wish me luck!

AND try things on you wouldn't normally like in magazines, etc, that's how I found my dream dress!!

I agree...be open to the consultant's ideas (as long as they stick to your budget)...my consultant picked out my dress...I didn't even to try it on at first. But that's the dress I bought and I LOVED it when I got it on.

Remember dress look different on then they do on the hanger.
Have fun and don't let it get too serious! Best wishes finding the "one"!!

Try on everything, even stuff you don't think will look good on you.  You might be surprised!

Bring appropriate underwear!

And definitely try on dresses that you don't think you'll like. The dress I chose and absolutely LOVE was a bit different than what I originally thought I'd want.

Since you're bringing so many people with you, listen to their opinions but don't let them decide for you. At the end of the day, it needs to be a dress that YOU love and feel great in!

Take lots of pics! You'd be amazed at how different a dress can look in person and in pictures. And it's good to have them to look back at and help you make a decision later

I am going dress shopping in two weeks, I am so excited. I plan to try on a few that I have picked out but I also want to try on some I would never picture myself wearing just for fun, who knows I may end up liking them Plus when will I ever get to go wedding dress shopping again?
