Tent or No Tent...

I am planning on having an outdoor wedding of course we all know that mother nature can play a huge role in our big day... I was wanting to get a tent just in case it does rain but then I kinda feel that I am renting this gorgeous mansion and I really wont use the inside any... I was thinking of having the cocktail hr in the house.... Also then if it doesnt rain then I feel I got the tent for nothing...So I guess my question is should I get the tent for my reception or just see what happens?

DW is out the door... I been talking to FI about it and we decided that we really want our family and friends there... for me I really want my dad to give me away... I am the baby and it just didnt feel right for us to go off and to get married without our loved ones there....

yeah I was thinking the same thing.... It been really hot here too so I was thinking that it could be used as shaded area and what not....

I would go for the tent. I think it's easier to say that you didn't really need it than to say you wish you had had it.

Have you checked with your  venue to be sure your allowed to put up a tent? Some places  wont allow staking and such in their manicured lawns. Is there enough space inside for a reception if it rains?

we are doing all outdoor so my plan is to budget for little bit of safety money for a tent but only reerve it if we need it. so i'll def. be watching the weather the week of like a hawk!

My reception is going to be outside and I am going to get a tent.  Even if it is not needed I would wather have that planned out rather than scrambling at the last minute to find one.

I would always have a plan B. Whether that be having the ceremony inside the mansion or having a tent.

I would do a tent just in case depending on rain or even just hot weather in general for shade

I think you should get a tent, like the PP even if it doesn't rain you can use it for shade from the sun. I'm sure you could do some type of draping inside the tent like that picture
