Electronic (E-mailed) STD's

First... I always chuckle when I see STD but that's beside the point...

Anywho,

How do you feel about notifying guests via email about the upcoming wedding? Of course there would be some people that we would have to send paper STD's (lol) to but I was thinking we could create an electronic one with a reply box to send their mailing addy (for the paper invites).

THEN this could be the compromise for the FB RSVP's that FH wanted to try....

Thoughts?

We did an earlier email to those coming with us to DW already since they have book, save up, etc. In June I'm mailing out STDs, tee hee, and emailing the file (I made it on PPt)

You know that if you an email std he's going to be all about the facebook rsvp again lol. I think if you're following up with a mailed std then its perfectly fine.

I don't see anything wrong with it. We have two good friends getting married this year and they did FB & email STD. But, sent out paper STD as well. I didn't mind getting the FB STD.

I think it's a good idea... I'm doing just the paper ones but that's only because I was so determined to make them myself (I'm *very* stubborn when it comes to these things) and yes I giggle everytime I hear/see STD's.... lol

P.S. I don't think it's very nice to Email STDs...you should atleast take people on a date first! hahahaha..ok, I'm done ;op

I'm not a fan, but I don't really know why. It just sort of doesn't seem right for some reason.

Since your FI is so adament on doing something electroinically I would elect the STDs...however, personally we will be mailing ours out.

That is what we are doing. We are sending emails to everyone that we know does email. For grandparents and those that dont do email, we are going to snail mail them the STD. We are definiteyl mailing everyone the actual invitation though.
