Reception???

Are any of you ladies having a late afternoon reception to cut down cost? Just curious to see what everyone doing...

Our ceremony will start at 4:30, probably last a half hour, then cocktail hour will be from 5 to 6 (or 6:15ish), then dinner around 6:30. But who knows if that plan will really work or not but it's what we've come up with so far.

our ceremony is at 2...cocktail hour to start around 4.. (ceremony will last till 3..) then..recieving line...then about a 10 minute travel to the reception hall. dinner probably around 5.

we're doing everything late but it's not really a cost reason...I just want a reception lit by candlelight LOL. 

we're thinking 5:30 ceremony. 6-7 cocktail hour and then dinner served around 7:30.

We haven't decided on a time for sure, but we're thinking morning or afternoon.

Our wedding will be at 4:00 so probably eat around 5:00.

We're thinking about a 4 pm ceremony, so we'll have a light dinner around 5. Cocktail hours aren't popular in my area, though.

Our ceremony is at 2 as well so dinner will probably end up being around 5-530.  But its not for cost reasons.  It wouldn't have mattered what time for us its all costing the same!

We're having our ceremony at 10:30 am, so, in short, yes!  We'll have a lunch reception, and it's partially for cost, and partially for quality.  We got tired of interviewing with hotels and cateres who seemed far too expensive for the quality of food, so we're having our reception at a restaurant that is only open for dinner.  This way, we have the whole restaurant to ourselves, but have to be out before they generally open for dinner.  And we pay restaurant prices instead of catering prices, and there aren't extra "hidden" costs for cake cutting or linens or even for the space!  It's wonderful!
