 No, I giggle too... It funny because when I use knot lingo with FI he looks at me like I am crazy when I say STD's. But I would say you could send them out at 8 months...

Probably June of this year, once we get E Pics back and can put them in the STD template I made

I actually got super excited and sent them out in February. I made hybrid Engagement Announcements/STDs (tee hee hee), and since my step-father took some engagement pictures for us during a blizzard, I felt that they had to be sent during the winter. In hindsight, I should've waited, but there was acutally already a conflict with a step-cousin getting married the same day (the nerve!) so I'm glad I was able to get them out to make sure people reserve the date!

Im thinking of sending ours on May 19th..so exactly 1 yr out. They are already done and stuffed...just need to be addressed and are sitting on my desk taunting me..lol

I do too.  It was really hillarious when I told FI that our STD's are here.  He didn't know what to say.

I was going to send mine out in December to give a heads up since I was having the wedding on a Holiday Weekend

I'm thinking August/September since it's a holiday weekend. We're getting the e-pics done in June so I have to wait until I have the proofs back. I hope they're gorgeous. Can't wait!!

I'll probably send mine our in August! I have our character drawing in the STD now but we are taking E-Pics in June so we'll see.. =o) TGIF

I'm thinking June or July since guests will have to travel and consider booking hotel rooms. I've got a few designs I'm working on a VistaPrint so I'll use this time to perfect the design before I send them out.

We'll be sending them out in early June. We want to get them out early since our wedding is Memorial Day weekend. This way people have plenty of time to plan.

I'll be sending mine out whenever my photogrpaher gets the e-pics back to us, and after they arrive in the mail from VP.. which is like 21 day shipping! So I would guess late June or early July.

We are sending ours out at the end of May since we live in Oregon, but getting married in Idaho and many people will be traveling

Now you guys have me a bit worried... I wasn't going to send ours out until Novemeber...we were wanting to do October E-pics...

Do we think this is too late knotties? Do I need to adjust?

We'll be getting our e-pics done sometime within the next month or two, so I'm thinking sometime after that.  I want to send them out early since we're getting married during MDW.

since our wedding is falling on a holiday weekend, im taking my engagement photos on April 18 and i should have then May 1. Giving myself 2 weeks to get them addressed and sent out so i would say 2nd week in May seems to be the magic round about date.

We're not doing engagement photos (to save $$$), so ours are already done.  Now that we have our venues totally nailed down, we'll probably send out in April or May since we're doing Memorial day weekend.

I was actually going to wait until late summer, but it seems like FI's side usually plans events for that weekend so they'll need an earlier heads up.

No I would not worry about sending them out in November.  I think that is plenty of time.  I have heard it is good to send them out anywhere from 6-9 months so you would definitely be in that range.  I mean I got a STD in January for a wedding that is  this coming MDW which I think is a little late but it happens.

Also, I was seriously concerned the first time I saw STD.  I was like omg what are they talking about on here and then I finally figured it out.  It makes me laugh.

I'm going to do either May or June, I have a lot of OOT guest on my side, I want to give them time to plan for everything.  In May I will be getting the link for people to book the hotel rooms.  Since I am putting the wedding website on the STD's, I'm just going to add the link to site for people to click on.

Since we are expecting everyone to travel and we keep getting questions now... we are sending them out in May. I'm working on our wedding website now so it will be ready!
