What are peoples' opinions on a Memorial Day weekend wedding? We were hoping for May 5th 2012, but it turns out that the venue we really want is closed through the 19th. So we're looking at May 26th or going into June...and I'd like to stay in May!!
Our wedding will be in MA (about 30 minutes from Boston) and we have guests coming from CT, RI, and the Boston area...so higher flight costs are not an issue. I know hotels might be a little more expensive as well, and most people will probably stay as our ceremony is not until 6:30pm. I've read a little bit about whether a holiday weekend is good (more travel/recovery time) or bad (people may want to travel, entertain, etc.).
Thoughts anyone?
