rethinking STD

what do you girls think of this? I would really like to do something a bit different. I know it's not the fanciest thing but I do love that it's different.

I think this is really cute!  I also love that its really different from the traditional STD.  Our is just a magnet because simply put, I'm not that creative.  LOL

Just thinking about it -- will you also send the same text that's on the balloon on a separate sheet with the balloon? (I couldn't tell if that's what it was in the pic).  This sounds silly, but some people you send those too might not be able to blow up the balloon.  I know if my grandpa tried, he would probably pass out... (not trying to be tacky, that's really what would happen).

I like the balloon! Very cute. I would just make sure that you also have the information on an actual card or something. If your guests are anything like me, the only reason I remember the date from a save-the-date is because I put it on my fridge. I would blow up that balloon, love it, bring it to work to show it off to my officemate, lose it, and then be asking other guests to remind me of the date. (Why wouldn't I put it on my calender? That's just me- calender, schmalender!)
