The reception site is officially a GO
My dad put the deposit down on our reception site yesterday, we signed the contract today. This actually marks off a bunch of checks for me. Our reception site offers catering, cake, centerpieces, linens, and a bar. Its at a hotel so we have blocked rooms plus complimentary suite for us and 2 complimentary rooms for parents (which were actually using for my mom and his grandparents...we agreed from the beginning with my moms MS she is supporting herself and my brother on disability, and his grandma went through 2 strokes and so their finances have been tight trying to pay for her medical expenses. So we decided we are paying for their stays and the complimentary room on wedding night is very helpful)
So I have just checked off a ton of stuff on my list and even if all 130 people we invite actually come we are still saving almost $1000 on everything. The revenue is only $4000 which adds up to 83 people, we were told if we didnt have 83 we could just add things. FI wants to add an ice luge and martini bar if we have to upgrade lmao.
I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders finally.
