New to the Board

Hi joined TK a few days ago and still just finding my way around the message boards. This is by far my favorite so far. I am sure others will be as time goes on. The local boards weren’t as much fun and I think it’s because everyone was at different stages in planning.

My FI are planning a May wedding, the date isn’t set yet but hopefully the 19^th. Just got engaged on the 26^th of March so still early in planning for everything. We are going to look at a few venues this weekend. We are hoping for an outdoors wedding and there are a few places we really like from what we have seen so far.

Should be a lot of fun on these boards as you all seem really niceJ

I, too, found that other boards were harder to connect with due to us all being at different stages of planning while us here on this board are all shooting for the same time frame!

Congrats on your engagement and welcome! My local board and this board are by far my favs. The girls on my local are incredibly nice and helpful, but this board is also nice and helpful and we are all in the same stage of planning like you said. Looking at venues is so exciting!!! Something I wish someone had told me when I started looking is that taxes and gratuities are usually added onto the prices they quote you on the phone or pull up on the internet, so be ready to hear an amount higher than you thought. Just an FYI I wish I had before!

Welcome! I love this board, maybe because we all have wedding fever and the excitment of approaching a year away is getting to all of us. But the ladies here are sweet and helpful and tons of fun.
