I am so happy; we just booked our photographer!
I feel like we totally got lucky finding a photographer who is not only incredibly talented, but affordable and hilarious as well! My FI is typically reserved at these vendor meetings and usually lets me ask the questions. But when we met with Mel (the photographer), he opened right up and chatted with her like they'd known each other for years. I think this level of comfort is the most important thing to us because FI is a pretty stiff photo-taker. He always scrunches his chin into his neck and doesn't know how to smile naturally for posed photos. He was dreading wedding photos for this reason but watching him interact with Mel, I just know he's going to be totally comfortable during our photo sessions.
We weren't going to do an engagement session to save some money, but she's so affordable that we're going to spring for it. Since we're having a beach wedding, I think we may try to switch it up and take our engagement photos in downtown Wilmington or at a nice park somewhere.
