I am still getting the hang of The Knot site but I just stumbled across this group and wanted to introduce myself!
My name is Bethany, I'm 33 and from the NW burbs of Chicago. I am getting married to my best friend and hilarious sidekick, Jon on 5/5/12. He proposed outside of The Drake hotel downtown on 2/25/10. It was by far the best night of my life!
We were initially going to do a September or October 2011 wedding but decided to push it back a bit so that we could get exactly what we wanted and not have to rush as much time-wise.
Jon is a firefighter/paramedic so we had to take into account his shift schedule when picking a date as well.
We are *very* early in the planning stages but so far we've picked our reception venue and church.
I'm looking forward to being a part of this group and getting to know everyone!
