...Running of the Brides AND found a perfect dress.
Just to recap- the place was a mad house. I got there at 9:30 (a little earlier than I planned, but I was anxious) and people had piles of 20 dresses they were hording. In order to get any of them, you had to barder with a decent dress. Since I ended up solo, I met some very nice people who helped me zip and helped with opinions and I did the same for them. I came across this fabulous silk Anne Barge gown that I carried around for a couple hours and nothing seemed to compare. I got a dress that normally retails for $4300 for $700 (+tax).
It is a modified A-line (or fit-n-flare) it's just hard to tell from the pic.
Thanks for the encouragement to go, otherwise I may not have found my dress (and an even better deal)!
