... anyone booked it yet? TK checklist puts it at a few months in advance, but I was planning on booking it at about the year mark. What do you think?

I'd do it and go for it IF I could make up my mind what we are going to do. I'd much rather book (and pay for) things further out.

iI thought about doing a nice older car for us and something or another to transport the party from the hotel to the venue.

I have thought about it but probably won't book till this summer. We will probably just get a stretch limo, so me and BMs can get ready at venue and then bring GM over later, and me and FI back to hotel afterwards. I am also planning to get a bus to shuttle guests from hotel to the venue.

I'd do it early!  I already talked to a company for my limo, I haven't booked yet, but he reminded me that May is Prom season and a lot of companies get booked fast!

May is prom season there? It's April here...just make sure he doesn't scare you into booking due to prom...plus h.s. kids only book like 2-4 weeks out, right? Surly you would have booked by then :)

May actually is prom season where I am from!  He was very non-pushy so I didn't feel like he said that to scare me into booking, it was more of a heads up!  But I'm pretty sure for my prom we booked a few months out, but we had a gigantic from group too!

May is prom season but I was also told most HS kids wait until a month or two before to pick their transportation.

That said I'm getting a one of a kind antique car that I have my heart set on, so it's not like I can easily find a backup. I actually tried to book the car last month but he wouldn't let me(he could tell I was a crazy, anxious bride). I was told to come back in August or September, which I will, Aug. 1 lol.

tbh, havnt given it much thought. But will definatly try and book something before the end of the summer. I want to have 98% of planning done by september since ill be in school from sep-april and dont want the extra stress of trying to plan (and pay for on top of student loans) wedding stuff

I am currently looking into places, I am hoping to have them booked soon.  Around here May is prom season so I want to make sure I have the limo for the bridal party booked. I am not as worried about the car for me and my FI, they say classic cards don't book all that much.

I'm planning to book mine next month. I want to get a Trolley bus. I don't need to worry too much about prom since my wedding is on a Sunday, but they said that Friday and Saturday in May book up 9 months in advance.

Tack on question- Where does one rent an antique car? I see all these pictures of people using them...

anyhow, glad to hear the vendor wasn't pushy. I just wanted to make sure he wasn't trying to rush you into a decison.
