For a mortgage! WOOT! For those of you who didnt know the story, my ex ran me into bad debt before i left him about 2 yrs ago...to the tune of 40K. I wound up having to bust toosh to get things in order, pay debt back, and get my life in order. When i was with him we had a house which i regretfully didnt fight hard enough to get my name put on the mortgage..so when we split i lost everything...a house i was paying half for, my place to live, and i was in serious debt and no job (was laid off 1 month prior to our split) ...As luck would have it...i met my fiance, found an awesome paying job,..and with a lot of hard work (i work a part time job also) and determination (and selling most of what i owned..lol) i can now say i have $0.00 credit card debt, managed to keep my credit score in the 800s and just got approved for a mortgage about 2 yrs after i thought my life was going to go no where. When marty and i met, neither of us were working (he was laid off from the union) and i had been let go of a job i was at for 5 yrs. we both leaned on one another for support and to get by which is why i think we have such a strong relationship...we both had nothing and are building everything from scratch.
i guess it proves that never giving up will lead you in the right direction.
