AW Fabric Pomanders and other checks! PIP!

I finished two of my fabric pomanders, and am SO happy with them! They're the cutest things I've seen!

I also ordered these online to scatter on the tables!

And, I found this dress at Target of all places, and it is SOOO cute in person. I am wearing it for one of my e-pic outfits!! And the black cardigan over it!

And my grandma told me today that she will pay for our cake! I am so excited :)

  • OMG I bought that exact dress last weekend lol

  • Wait, did you make those pomanders??!! I LOVE them! Can you share your technique so I can give it a try too? I'm looking for ways to cut down on flower costs and really really like this idea!

And I also really like that dress. I may have to stop by Target this weekend and check it out myself :)

  • I definetly can. When I make my next one I'll post step by step pictures and post them in my bio. But the stuff I used were: 6 inch strofoam ball, fabric, hot glue gun, scissors, pencil, and a circular object.

I cut out a 4 inch circle. Put a dot of hot glue in the middle of it, and fold the circle in half. The put a dot of glue in the bottom center of that, and fold one side over, and then put another dot of glue in the same spot and fold the other side to the middle. Then, take the nozzle of the hot glue gun and poke it into the ball a little to make a small hole, put a little hot glue in the hole, and put the point tip of the fabric into the hole.
Section the ball into four sections to make it easier, and I think it saves fabric that way.
Then keep doing that about a million times!

I do love it.  I also bought the purple & white one that is the exact style.  Can't wait until the weather gets better so I can wear it :)

  • I bought the pink and orange-ish one that is the same! That is so funny!

  • LOVE your poms!  I'm attempting to make mine out of coffee filter roses, yours sounds a little less time consuming, but I've already got the supplies for the paper roses ;)

    They're gorgeous, love the colors.

  • Those poms are completely adorable! They sound easier than my tissue paper ones I'm doing, but like PP said, I already have most of the supplies for mine. This reminds me I should get a move on with them though!
