Engagement Pictures?

Have any of you girls gotten engagement pictures done? How long after your engagement did you get them taken? I know many brides/grooms use their wedding photographer to take their e-pics, but I'm not sure who is going to photograph our wedding as of now. I'm unsure how to go about this process-I just love the idea of getting them done. Let me know what you think

We haven't gotten our E-pics done yet. We already chose our photographer. Some of my local knottie ladies suggest going with your photographer that way you get to know them before the big day. We are actually going to wait until this coming spring to do them and I'm going to be using them to send out save-the-dates.

We're thinking we will do them this spring. Haven't quite narrowed down our photographer yet, though.

We're probably going to be nailing down our photographer within the next couple of months. We plan to do our engagement shoot over the summer and use the pictures in our save-the-dates which will go out in the fall.

We're doing ours in the spring. Our photographer was the first vendor we booked! He was a must for us, and had already been booked for our day, but made some arrangements and switched so we could have him!

We did ours back in October! FI's sister is a photography student and has her own photography business on the side so she did them as an engagement present to us and they came out amazing!

We got engaged in July and did ours in September because my sister does photography. She'll be in the wedding, though, so we're hiring someone she recommended to shoot our wedding.

I love them as well. We picked out our photographer before we got engaged, actually. She is a very good friend of ours and starting out her own business, so she offered us excellent prices we couldn't resist! We were engaged in August and will take our e-pics this summer. Then we will send the save-the-dates in the fall.

We haven't booked our photographer yet but both of the ones we'll be meeting with offer engagement sessions in their packages. We're hoping to meet with them and book over the winter then have our pictures done over the Spring or Summer. We're planning on sending our save-the-dates out early because the majority of guests are out of town. We want to give them plenty of time to make arrangements and book their hotel. We're planning on mailing our save-the-dates in October.

We got engaged last month so we haven't done pictures yet. I emailed several photographers for prices and we decided on one today. We probably won't take our pictures till spring since it is so cold outside but I'm not sure yet. I'm waiting to hear back from the photographer. We are going to use our pictures for our save the dates too which we will probably mail in the early fall.

We haven't done them. Going to wait for the summer and do them on the beach. We both want to lose some weight before then, so it's good that we have time.
